Join us for the 4th program of our 10th season at Next Year’s Words, a New Paltz Literary Forum, on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 7:30 at Elting Memorial Library, 93 Main Street, New Paltz, New York 12561
The featured readers for this community celebration of words at the library are Sally Van Doren, Matthew J. Spireng, and Amanda Russell. There will also be an open mic, and we look forward to hearing your words.

Sally Van Doren, a poet and a visual artist, is the author of four poetry collections: Sibilance, Promise, Possessive and Sex at Noon Taxes, which received the First Book Award from the Academy of American Poets.
Matthew (Matt) Spireng’s latest full-length poetry book, Good Work, won the 2019 Sinclair Poetry Prize. His other full-length books are: What Focus Is and Out of Body, which received the 2004 Poetry Award from Bluestem Press. Matthew’s published chapbooks are: Clear Cut, Young Farmer, Encounters, Inspiration Point and Just This.
Amanda Russell (she, her, hers) is a guest editor at the Comstock Review and a stay-at-home mom. Her poems have appeared in Hole in the Head Review, EcoTheo Review, Lily Poetry and Open, a Journal of Arts and Letters.
