Vernon Benjamin at Standing Rock Book Release

A book launch for “Crossing Divides: My Journey to Standing Rock” by Vernon Benjamin with guest speakers, book readings, and videos of the 2016 anti-pipeline protests.

Speakers will include Wes Gillingham of Catskill Mountainkeeper and Chase Iron Eyes of the Lakota People’s Law Project. The late Vernon Benjamin is best remembered for his two-volume “History of the Hudson River Valley.” Yet this trip to Standing Rock changed his life. “A little book with a big heart,” says Ned Sullivan, President of Scenic Hudson.
