Celebration of the Opening of the Tenth Anniversary Season of New Year’s Words
Celebrate the opening of the tenth anniversary season of Next Year’s Words, A New Paltz Readers Forum, on October 18th, at 7:30, at Elting Memorial Library, 93 Main Street, New Paltz, New York. The readers for this event are Kim Ellis, Kate Hymes, and Sarah Wyman. There also is an open mic.

Kim Ellis, a retired teacher and workshop leader for writers, has created the fantasy adventure series The Karakesh Chronicles, which includes five novels for middle-school readers. Kate Hymes, the first Ulster County Poet Laureate, has led Wallkill Valley Writers Workshops for twenty years, and her work is widely published in regional and national anthologies. Sarah Wyman, the Director of the Faculty Development Center at SUNY New Paltz, has published two volumes of poetry, and her work has been published in various national literary magazines.
