Marc Delgado is a poet, storyteller & songwriter from Woodstock, NY where he lives with his wife & daughter. Originally from Fresno, Delgado is influenced by & writes in the tradition of The great Fresno Poets. His poems are a mix of stark biography recounting his days living out of the motels up & down the San Joaquin Valley and surreal imagery & great leaps of imagination & connection. In his writing, he reconciles a life of addiction & violence with his eventual recovery & his life now as a writer, performer, father & husband. His newest collection is The Black Socks: a book of stories & poems & other stuff that may or may not have actually happened.
