Caffe Lena Poetry Night with Mary Kathryn Jablonski, Mary Cuffe Perez, and Will Nixon
After a year of virtual concerts, Caffe Lena has been finally given the green light to open our doors to the public at a limited capacity. This month’s poetry night will be hosted by Carol Graser and feature Mary Kathryn Jablonski, Mary Cuffe Perez, and Will Nixon.
Mary Kathryn Jablonski has been a contributor at Numéro Cinq and is the author of the poetry chapbook To the Husband I Have Not Yet Met and the 2019 book of poems, Sugar Maker Moon, from Dos Madres Press. Her poems and collaborative video/poems have appeared in numerous literary journals, exhibitions, screenings, and film festivals, including the Atticus Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Poetry Film Live (UK), Poetry Ireland Review, Quarterly West, and Tupelo Quarterly, among others.
Mary Cuffe Perez is the author of six books: Three poetry collections, Nothing by Name (novel-in-verse), The Woman of Too Many Days and a chapbook, Poems in November; two children’s books, Gnarlys of the North Woods and Skylar, and a book of creative nonfiction, Barn Stories. She has also published poems and short stories in several literary journals and has written articles for Blueline, Adirondack Life, NYS Conservationist, Northern Woodlands, and Yankee. Essays have appeared in online journals such as US Represented, Moxie, and Feminist Wire.
Will Nixon’s poetry books include My Late Mother as a Ruffed Grouse, Love in the City of Grudges, and Acrostic Woodstock, a town portrait in poems. His latest book is The Pocket Guide to Woodstock, a revised version of a local bestseller for visitors. With Michael Perkins he co-authored, Walking Woodstock: Journeys into the Wild Heart of America’s Most Famous Small Town. (woodstockpocketguide.com).
