Chris Wood, Kingston area poet and host of the Heyday Poetry Series at Half-Moon Books, will be the featured poet at the next Poetry on the Loose event this Saturday, March 3 in Warwick.

Chris Wood will read at the next program in the Poetry on the Loose Reading/Performance Series. The event will be held at 7 West Street in Warwick at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3. Enter by door on right side of building. Following the feature, others are welcome to read original work. Admission is free.
Chris Wood, poet, musician and publisher, is a life-long resident of the Hudson Valley region, where he hosts and participates in various music and literary events. His work has been published in The Jet Fuel Review, The Wawayanda Review, and is forthcoming in Home Planet News. He is the editor-in-chief of Heyday magazine, an online and print magazine showcasing music, art, and poetry. His poetry and songwriting have been deemed aggressively spiritual and inspirational, infusing a common-sense, practical wisdom that engages the hearer and leaves no subject untreated.
He says he “occasionally sleeps a few hours every other Thursday, converses with woodland creatures and enjoys devouring deep poetry and coffee.”
The next Poetry on the Loose reading will be held April 7 and will feature Elaine Koplow whose poem “English Class” was recently selected for publication in Legacy, the journal of the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council.
