Hudson Valley Writers Guild member Tracy L. Thompson celebrates her debut novel, Out Like a Lion, published by Staten House.

In the wake of an unimaginable Trump presidency, a world-wide pandemic, and the January 6th attack on the Capitol, Jules Campbell, a retired political scientist, sees the signs of a democracy in decline. She has grown weary of the lack of meaningful action by those on the left, where she is firmly planted, to save the ship from sinking. When Putin attacks Ukraine, Jules can no longer risk waiting and hoping. She is called to action by her generation’s promise of “Never Again.” She makes a desperate plan to save the future from fascism for her children and grandchildren, and for the world at large.

Tracy L. Thompson writes poetry, short story, flash fiction, and memoir. Out Like a Lion is her debut novel. A native of Pennsylvania, today she lives and writes in Schenectady, NY. She is U.S. Navy veteran and a graduate of the University of South Florida and Yale Law School. Her three adult sons have proven to be the greatest joy in her life, followed closely by her grandbabies (two so far). Her dogs, Happy and Lucky, deserve an honorable mention.

You can purchase your copy of Out Like a Lion on Amazon, at MochaLisa’s Caffe and Books in Clifton Park, and at the Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza.
