Kids on a Camping Trip in a Field

This Sunday – Writers Read at The Linda

Writers Read™ and the New York State Writers Institute present a curated program of personal, 650-word, five-minute Summer Camp stories from talented writers throughout New York’s Capital District—from Camp Chingachgook south to Coxsackie, and east of Amsterdam to Hoosick Falls!

The live event will take place at The Linda, in downtown Albany, at 2 PM on Sunday, June 30.

Remember the joy of the last day of school? No more pencils, no more books, no more teachers’ dirty looks! Did you head off to a pristine lake somewhere—as a camper, counselor, or waiter—for a season of bugs and bug juice, friends and frenemies, cabins and canoes? Maybe you were the only kid in the neighborhood who didn’t attend camp, or perhaps you were a parent, suddenly free for four weeks.

Join us to enjoy a relaxing afternoon as a local cast of talented writers shares their moving and hilarious summer camp tales from the stage.

Tickets $30. Reception (included) follows. Doors 1:30 PM

The Linda, WAMC’s Performing Arts Studio, is located at 339 Central Avenue, Albany NY. Parking is free in the surrounding lot and the lot directly north across Sherman Street. The venue offers beer and wine selections.
