The Herbert Simon Book Award is given for significant contributions to public administration scholarship. The book’s orientation may be qualitative, quantitative, empirical, interpretive, ethnographic, historical, archival, normative, or theoretical. However, textbooks, revised editions of previously published books, and edited volumes are not eligible.
Books with publication dates of 2017, 2018, and 2019 are eligible for the 2023 award.
