Call for Submissions: Family and Place

Final days for two themes at Sequestrum: Family and Place – stories of hauntings, of betrayal, of fractures and survival.
Typewriter

Final days for two themes at Sequestrum: Family and Place! Both subjects are incredibly complicated and offer an endless source of material. They want stories of hauntings, of betrayal, of fractures and survival. Basically, they want your most ambitious place and family writing in its most imaginative form. Fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.

Get your submissions in, the deadline is August 15, 2022!

Sequestrum describes itself as a “a journal of short prose and poetry. We publish concise, evocative writing that couldn’t exist in any other form, yet reminds us of the breadth and scope of longer works. Brew us in the morning to swirl with your coffee grounds, or let our bones rattle and sing their skeleton song on your daily subway ride. In the whir of modern life, we spread our splintered dreams under your feet; tread softly, for you tread on our dreams—be them home to many a toothy edge.”
