On Wednesday, October 26th The Troy Poetry Mission returns to O’Brien’s Public House in Troy, NY for the monthly open mic for poetry and spoken word with featured poet Jason Martin.
The evening dubbed “The Raven King: Halloween Poetry Edition” will also have an All Hallows Eve theme. Host R.M. Engelhardt is asking for poets and audience alike to dress in costume and celebrate the works of Edgar Allan Poe.

Jason Martin is a performance artist and musician. His current works include a series of performances, videos, and photographs called Power Animal System: Species and gender-queer beings from space or another dimension or something. They are present in this world with help from people like Jason and his associates. Help them help us. As a musician with an extensive discography and touring history, Jason makes pop music and experimental sound works in space and time. Jason has worked in community media and Public Access television over the years as both a creator and teacher. He got his MFA at New York University in 2010
