On Wednesday, October 5, the great Caffe Lena Poetry Open Mic series in Saratoga Springs continues at Northshire Bookstore with a featured readers Judith Kerman and Adam Tedesco along with an open mic for poetry and spoken word.
While the Caffe is undergoing renovations, this event will be held at Northshire Bookstore, 424 Broadway, Saratoga Springs NY 12866.
Judith Kerman retired as Professor Emerita of English from Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan, where she taught creative writing, literature and electronic media. She has published nine collections of poems, most recently Aleph, broken: Poems from My Diaspora (Broadstone Books, 2016) and three collections of translations. She was a Fulbright scholar in the Dominican Republic in 2002. She is publisher of Mayapple Press in Woodstock, NY.
Adam Tedesco is a founding editor of REALITY BEACH, and contributing editor for Drunk In A Midnight Choir. His recent work has appeared or is forthcoming in Funhouse, Souvenir, Prelude, Hobart, The Nervous Breakdown and elsewhere. He is the author of several chapbooks, including The Heart Sutra, available this September.
The Caffe Lena Poetry Open Mic, hosted by Carol Graser and sponsored by Northshire Bookstore, takes place on the first Wednesday of each and every month (usually) at Caffè Lena (47 Phila Street, Saratoga Springs). This event has a $5.00 admission charge. Sign up at 7:00, 7:30 readings start.
