Local poet and editor Alan Catlin was the featured poet at the inaugural Albany Poets Presents reading at the Midtown Tap & Tea Room in Albany, NY on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Following the reading by Alan, host Thom Francis interviewed Alan and took questions from the audience.
Alan Catlin has published well over sixty chapbooks and full length books of both prose and poetry including Near Death in the Afternoon on Becker Street, Self Portrait as the Artist Afraid of His Self-Portrait, both from March Street Press, and Drunk and Disorderly, selected poems from Pavement Saw Press. He is currently an editor of Misfitmagazine. Alan is retired from the Bar Wars after thirty four years working in his unchosen profession as a barman in various establishments in the Capital District including twenty-five years at the Washington Tavern.
