New Audio – Andy Clausen at Poets Speak Loud – July 28, 2014

Andy Clausen was our featured poet at Poets Speak Loud on Monday, July 28, 2014. Andy is one of the great poets of the Hudson Valley and we were very lucky to have him come up to Albany and share his work with our community.

Andy Clausen is the author of two selected books of verse: Home of the Blues and 40th Century Man. Published Long Shot, City Lights, Beat Scene, New Directions 37. He has conducted poetry workshops in prisons and taught poetry in schools from kindergarten to college.

Thom Francis has been organizing, promoting, and hosting open mics and poetry / spoken word events in Albany such as Nitty Gritty Slam, School of Night, Albany Poets Presents..., and the Albany Word Fest for over 20 years. As a poet and performer, Thom has been featured at many of the upstate poetry and spoken word events from Saratoga to Woodstock as well as LarkFest, Art on Lark, 1st Friday, and the Albany Word Fest.
