The holiday season is in full swing and there is a lot of poetry and spoken word to keep you warm as the outside temperature drops. Coming up this week, there are seven solid days of readings, events, and open mics in the area with some great featured performances by Brian Dorn and Cornelius Eady. But first things first, the new week of words and ideas kicks off Sunday at 2:00 PM with the Poetry + Prose open mic at The Arts Center in Troy.
