On Saturday, November 23, Bertha Rogers and the Bright Hill Literary Center will hold a marathon reading and open house to celebrate 21 years of readings and publishing books. From 11 am – noon, the Bright Hill Literary Workshops for Kids poets and writers will be featured; and from noon – 6 pm, adult poets and writers will be featured. All who write or aspire to write are welcome to read for 3 – 5 minutes, but must sign up for a time slot (noon – 1 pm; 1 – 2 pm; 2 – 3 pm; 3 – 4 pm; 4 – 5 pm; 5 – 6 pm) by emailing [email protected] or calling us at 607-829-5055. Each reader will receive a free BHP poetry book.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day as well as an after-reception at 6 pm. Our archives (all 21 years!) will be on display (Poets & Writers & Kids! If you find 2 copies of a photo of you from a previous workshop or reading, you can take one!), and they will also be offering a poetry and fiction book sale, great books at deeply discounted prices, a perfect opportunity for holiday gift-buying.
