Times Union’s Fall Haiku Contest

Albany Poets is happy to be partnering with the Times Union for the annual Fall Haiku Contest with the winning haikus featured in the TU.

Albany Poets is very happy to be partnering with the Times Union for the annual Fall Haiku Contest. We will be three winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd) to receive gift certificates to a local bookstore. The winning haikus will be featured in the October 18 edition of the TU.

The contest is open to children and adults. Entries must follow the 5-7-5 syllable format and have a connection to fall or fall activities.

Entries must include your name, address, age and telephone number (just the name and town will be used if your haiku is published).

All entries must be submitted either by email ([email protected]) or dropped off at the Times Union, 645 Albany Shaker Road in Colonie between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Entries must be emailed or dropped off by 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3.
