The Yes! Poetry & Performance Series kicks off its new season on Friday, August 30 with Brenda Iijima, Cara Benson, and David Emanuel at their new home, the Albany Center Gallery (39 Columbia Street, Albany).

We’ll welcome Brenda and David to Albany and celebrate Cara Benson’s new chapbook Cara Benson – recently published in the Least Weasel Series (Propolis Press).

Cara Benson is the author of “Cara Benson” and the books (made) and the forthcoming “Funny. Considering how heated it was.” She is a member of the Belladonna* Collaborative and teaches poetry and poetics in a NY State Prison. Her website is http://www.necessetics.com/.

David Emanuel was born and raised in Oklahoma. He then lived in Chicago where he went to school, worked a variety of jobs, and wrote. Currently, he lives in Providence, RI, where he also went to school and recently joined Anomalous Press as an editor. His writing, both critical and creative, has appeared in How2, Court Green, With + Stand, and elsewhere.

Launched in 2011, as a subsidiary of Propolis Press, Least Weasel publishes contemporary, experimental poetry. Covers are printed letterpress in all its retro, lo-fi deliciousness. Limited editions. Hand-sewn.
