The busiest man in the local poetry business, Dan Wilcox, just released information on the Poets In The Park series for this year. The Poets In The Park reading series, originally hosted and organized by Tom Nattell, has been bringing some of the best local and visiting poets and spoken word artists to the people of Albany in Washington Park for a number of years and this years line up looks no different.
The series begins on July 13 and continues every Saturday in July at the Robert Burns statue in Albany’s historic Washington Park. This years lineup is another great representation of our incredible poetry community including a couple local open mic mainstays (Jill Crammond and Dennis Sullivan) and two poets with more of a slam style (Team Nitty Gritty 2012 member Elizag and 2013 team member Poetyc Visionz).
