On Sunday, May 26, you are going to want to take the trip to Voorheesville to enjoy not just the incredible scenery  but also the fantastic monthly poetry open mic that takes place at the Old Songs Community Center. And to make it all even better, the featured poet this month is Jill Crammond.

Jill  is a poet/artist/mother, funding her passion for poetry by teaching college writing and children’s art classes.  Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in B: An Anthology of Barbie Poems (Kind of a Hurricane Press), Wordland 2, Paper Crow, Wordland 2: Hi Honey, I’m Home (theEXAGGERATEDpress), burntdisrict, Fire on Her Tongue e-book Anthology of Women Poets (Two Sylvias Press), Classifieds: An Anthology of Prose Poems, Crab Creek Review, and others.

Sunday MAY 26th our own Jill Crammond will be the featured reader at Sunday Four at Old Songs in Voorheesville, 3 pm.

Jill has done some fine work over the years and this is an event worth attending to hear her read that work and for other reasons. You will discover what they are when you come!

Afterwards repair with us for food and good cheer at the POETS’ CORNER at Smith’s Tavern right around the corner.   Celebrate Spring with us in two cozy venues, Old Songs and the PC at Smitty’s.  The Poet of the Month is Sylvia Barnard.
