Albany Poets has teamed up with Brighter Choice Middle school to expand on a workshop that we hosted in February. The workshop pairs experienced, local spoken word artists Kevin Peterson and Thom Francis with students to give them the opportunity to learn how to create and perform their own poetry.
On Friday, May 10th at 4:30pm, Albany Barn / Stage 1 (46-48 N. Swan Street, Albany) will host the final performance of the work that these students have created. We are excited to see the poems and performances that our talented youth have produced as the students will be sharing their hard work with friends, family, school staff, and the public for the very first time.
Admission is free and light refreshments will be served. Bring the family to this great community event.
