The End of an Era at Professor Java’s

Albany Poets would like to thank all those that came out on Monday night, October 8, 2012 for our last installment of Professor Java’s Wide Open Mic. After careful consideration we have decided this series has run it’s course and to concentrate our efforts on new and exciting projects including Nitty Gritty Slam, Poets Speak Loud, a new literary journal, and even more community events.

We want to thank staff and management at Professor Java’s for their continuing support and encouragement. Keith Spencer and Kevin Peterson for hosting this event each month since March 2010. In that time we have seen many talented performers grace the microphone with music, poetry, and spoken word. A big thank you to all of those artists who came out and supported since day one and we hope to see you at the other events and open mics in the area in the future.

Stay tuned to AlbanyPoets.com for updates and announcements on what else we have up our sleeves.
