Want to get your work published in one f the great literary journals in New York? Well, this is your time. The Literary Journal is looking for submissions for the next edition to be published in July.

Here is all of the information to get you on your way:

The Literary Gazette, published annually by The River Reporter in Narrowsburg, NY, is calling for submissions for its 2012 edition, to be published in July.

The theme for this year’s Gazette is “Elemental Nature.” The theme encompasses both the elemental aspects of nature (earth, air, water, fire and all they encompass) as well as the inner elemental nature of psyche and spirit: the fundamental, primal aspects of self including passion, yearning, discovery, loss, death, birth and growth.

This edition of the Gazette will showcase the work of acclaimed local photographer Chip Forelli (www.chipforelli.com).

The Gazette accepts short fiction and essays up to 1,000 words, or poetry (any style) up to 40 lines (not including stanza breaks). Send up to four submissions as word documents to [email protected] or by snail mail to Mary Greene, The River Reporter, PO Box 150, Narrowsburg, NY 12764. Submit poems as separate word documents and put complete contact information on each poem. Include a short (50 words or less) bio with your submission. For questions, send an email to the address above or call 845/252-7414 Ext. 30. Deadline for submissions is June 1.
