The 2012 Albany Word Fest is shaping up to be great this year and as we get closer to the event we are taking a closer look at the individual readings and open mics that are happening during the week.
On day two of the Word Fest, Monday, April 16, we will be gathering at the UAG Gallery for a special edition of the monthly Saint Poem Reading Series open mic hosted by R.M. Engelhardt. For the Word Fest edition of the series, Rob is paying tribute to the life and work of poet EE Cummings.
On Monday, April 16th, 2012 The Saint Poem Reading Series Presents “Transcendental 2,900: A One Night Tribute To The Life & Works Of Poet EE Cummings” at The Upstate Artists Guild, 247 Lark Street, Albany, NY. 7:30pm Sign Up – 8pm Start. Hosted By R.M. Engelhardt
This Reading Is A Chance For Poets To Come Out & Share, Read & Celebrate The Life And Works of An Amazing, Talented Poet Whose Work Was Original And Satiric, Funny & Thought Provoking!
R.M. Engelhardt has been a big part of every Word Fest since the very first event in 2000 in Thatcher Park. Engelhardt had an idea of bringing poets from all over the upstate area together to celebrate the art and community. Eleven years later, we have expanded the event to a week and Rob is still a part of the scene as a host and frequent featured poet at local readings and open mics.
