Very busy week of poetry ahead of us here in Albany.  Yes, Reading! is starting its Fall 2009 season this coming Friday, September 11. 

Dear friends of YES, READING! :

Our first event will take place on September 11 at the Social Justice Center (33 Central Avenue in Albany), and will feature visiting poets Paige Ackerson-Kiely and Kate Greenstreet.

The reading will begin at 7 o’clock, but please come 15 minutes early to hang out and graze on some goodies.

  • October 10: Science Fiction Marathon Reading, with Adam Golaski, Greg Purcell, Josh Potter, and other readers TBA, location TBA
  • October 23: James Belflower & Christian Peet w/ Elena Georgiou
  • November 7 (Saturday): Chris Tonelli & Janaka Stucky
  • November 20: Jonas Williams & Matvei Yankelovich

Local Poetry Group Seeks to Gather the “Dispossessed”

On September 15th, the Hudson River Coffee House in Albany hosted the bi-monthly “St. Rocco’s for the Dispossessed” reading. The September reading featured Mitch Manning, Julian Mostachetti, and Co-Editors of The Doris Billie Chernicoff and Tamas Panitz.
