Kingston’s Spoken Word – Where actors, poets, and writers read. This month’s featured poets are Annie LaBarge and Abigail Thomas.

Annie LaBarge is a poet and artist whose poems have appeared in holding on, letting go, BigCityLit, La Presa, Laughing Earth Lit, and Celebrate Life. She founded Kingston’s Spoken Word, curated the exhibit: Art and Poetry for the Columbia County Council for the Arts, and taught art at Skidmore College, Florida State University and in New York and Florida public schools. Annie teaches tai chi for HealthAlliance Hospital’s oncology support program, Peoples Place, and Bard College.

Abigail Thomas has written two short story collections, one novel, and four memoirs among which are Safekeeping; A Three Dog Life; What Comes Next and How to Like It, and her new book, Still Life At Eighty, which will be out in the fall. She lives in Woodstock, with her two elderly dogs.

This featured reader series with an open mic has a $5 suggested donation. Masks are required.
