HVWG Short Fiction Contest Winners Reading

On Saturday, February 13th from 1-2:30 p.m. you’ll hear stories by Frank Robinson and Marlene Rosenfield, the 2nd and 3rd place winners of the 2020 Hudson Valley Writers Guild Short Fiction Contest.

This special reading will take place via ZOOM on Saturday, February 13, 2021, 1-2:30 PM

About the readers: 

Frank S. Robinson is a graduate of NYU Law School, and was an administrative law judge (1977-97) at the New York Public Service Commission. He is the author of eight books including Albany’s O’Connell Machine (1973), Children of the Dragon (a novel), and The Case for Rational Optimism (2009). Robinson is a professional coin dealer; married to the poet Therese Broderick, and was the first man to walk on the moon. His blog is www.rationaloptimist.wordpress.com.

Marlene is the author of a poetry chapbook, Making Bubba’s Blintzes, a host of short stories, one of which won the Women Fiction Writers of Central Massachusetts. She earned an M.A. in writing. Her advanced studies include the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, the Bennington Writers’ Workshop, and the NYS Writers Institute. Marlene’s first book, Up Daddy Down Daddy, was the winner of the People of the Book Award from Maimonides Hebrew Day School of the Capital District.
