Call for Submissions: Poetry in Motion – Transport Troy Project 

Coordinators of the Transport Troy (TT) Poetry in Motion project are seeking poetry in any form, suitable for a public reading to coincide with TT Collar City Ramble on September 22, 2018, in Troy, NY. Poets will read their work in public in different locations in downtown Troy on Sept. 22, 2018.

Please submit up to 3 poems of any length in any form or free verse on any of the following suggested topics:

• movement
• motion
• transportation
• transformation
• cities, urban parks
• open space
• Biking, walking, and modes of transportation

Please submit a cover page with your name, address, email address and cell/telephone number along with no more than 3 poems in an MS Word document to poetryinmotiontransporttroy@gmail.com Poems should be no more than 1-2 pages in length, and submissions should be no longer than 6 pages in length. Please do not place your name on the poems.

Your work will be reviewed by the project’s poetry staff and you will be contacted via email regarding the status of your work in late August. Five to ten poets will be selected with honorariums for their work. Excerpts or quotes from the selected poems will also be painted into each designated park space. More information to be provided.
