8:00pm – Northampton Poetry Open Mic

Northampton’s only weekly open mic poetry night offers some of the best, most creative voices in the county. Every Tuesday night at 8:00pm. Come down and listen. Come down and share your words. A weekly open mic each and every Friday at the Parlor Cafe in North Adams for poets, musicians, and artists. Signup at the bar and get ready for the show, starting at 8:00pm.

 

Saturday, November 28

10:00am – 27th Annual “Day of Poet” Poetry Contest and Open Mic
William K. Sanford Town Library, 629 Albany Shaker Road, Loudonville, NY
The “Day of Poet” Poetry Contest and Open Mic will take place Saturday, November 28, 2015 with a top prize of $200 and additional Honorable Mention awards will be presented at the conclusion of the event.

Kingston’s 4th Saturday Spoken Word series, hosted by Annie LaBarge, at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Catskills continues.

7:30pm – Poetry Brothel of Kingston: Second Helpings
BSP Kingston, 323 Wall Street, Kingston, NY
The “Poetry Brothel,” a uniquely immersive experience that takes poetry outside classrooms and reinvents the brothel model by replacing the traditional “wares” with words, presents a bi-annual evening of performance poetry supported by music, dance, and art with attitude.  This is their 6th performance.
