This coming Saturday poetry returns to Woodstock for the monthly Woodstock Poetry Society reading and open mic. This month’s meeting will be taking place at the Woodstock Community Center starting at 2:00 PM. Host Phillip Levine is welcoming two fantastic poets this time around, Brett Bevell and Bruce Weber to the reading.

Woodstock Poetry Society & Festival as part of the Woodstock Arts Consortium is sponsoring the following poetry event as part of the Woodstock “Second Saturdays” Art Events.

Poets Brett Bevell and Bruce Weber will be the featured readers, along with an open mike when the Woodstock Poetry Society & Festival meets at the Woodstock Community Center, 56 Rock City Road, on Saturday, August 10th at 2:00pm.

The readings will be hosted by Woodstock area poet Phillip X Levine. All meetings are free, open to the public, and include an open mike.

Brett Bevell is a poet and performance artist who lives in the Hudson River Valley of New York. He is the Omega Staff Development Programmer and co-director of the Omega Institute’s Staff Peace Program.

Bruce Weber will be reading from his new chapbook The House Beside The Woods, with copies available for purchase.

December 14 – Dennis Bressack and Donald Lev, plus the Annual Business Meeting
