Judith Prest announces SoulCollage and Writing series starting March 25

Judith Prest announces “We Were Made For These Times… A Three Part SoulCollage® and Writing Series.” The title is from a longer quote by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. What we will do in these sessions is use the power of image and words to discover how we can act on our knowledge that we are made for these times. Many of us struggle with fear, anger or grief over what is happening in the U.S. right now. Many of us are taking action, but we also need time to regroup and contemplate and discern what the best path is for each of us to negotiate these difficult times. We will make SoulCollage®** cards, dialogue with the images, write from the collages, read the cards and share!

SoulCollage® is an intuitive collage process for self-discovery and community. People make their own decks of collaged cards for their personal use from images found in purchased or donated magazines, calendars, books, cards, etc. and from stock photos and/or personal materials (e.g., photos, one’s own art). The SoulCollage® process helps people discover their unique inner/outer guides and challengers and to explore and express their unique soul in its lightness, as well as its shadow.

Series dates are Saturday, March 25; Saturday, April 15; and Sunday, May 21. Sessions will run from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Still Point Interfaith Retreat Center in Mechanicville, NY. Workshop fees are as follows: all three days, preregistered – $180; at the door, or for one day, $70 per day. Pre-registration required! Workshop fees cover all art materials and light snacks. As always with workshops at Still Point, bring your lunch or food to share, your journal and a pen! To register/get more info, contact Judith Prest at jeprest@aol.com or (518) 275-3404.
