Albany Poets Presents Elizabeth Gordon

The Albany Poets Presents series of poetry, spoken word, and conversation continues on Wednesday, June 20 at Restaurant Navona (289 New Scotland Avenue, Albany) with local poet, performer, and educator Elizabeth Gordon.

“Albany Poets Presents” is a series of readings that put a spin on the typical poetry event in the local literary community by highlighting one poet with an interview and Q&A session following the featured performance.

Host Thom Francis says, “Elizag’s words and performances have always amazed me since the beginning of Nitty Gritty Slam. Her ability to put her experiences to words have educated and inspired audiences from here in Albany to cities and competitions all across the country.”

Elizabeth (Elizag) Gordon lives in Cohoes and is the author of the poetry collection Love Cohoes. She’s a founding member of Albany’s Nitty Gritty Slam and reads regularly at area open mics. She’s been teaching for 13 years at Northampton Community College, currently in the online division.

“Albany Poets Presents” will be recorded live to be distributed through the Albany Poets website and other outlets.
